Host Sax Carr returns with regular CoC panelists Asterios Kokkinos (Cracked Magazine, NPR’s Marketplace), Steven Saunders (Secret Cross) and Blair Marnell (Wizard Magazine) as they welcome Josh Howard (Dead@17) for another round of comics and comedy!
This week, our panel takes a look at recent developments in Heroes and Battlestar Galactica, tosses some fresh dirt on the grave of Final Crisis, reveals the Dark Avengers, examines the X-Men news coming out of the New York Comic Con and the new Diamond thresholds before Howard gives some of the first details of the Dead@17 relaunch at Image Comics, as well as some insight into a potential Dead@17 movie, which may feature one of the leading actresses from Disney’s High School Musical…

In a recent podcast about the project’s development, creator Josh Howard said that producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers and G.I. Joe) is pushing Hudgens for the lead role, a murdered teenager who comes back from the great beyond to fight evil. At this point, it’s just idle talk, but the source material sounds like it could be pretty cool. But, oh, is it ever different from High School Musical. Now, all of this is coming from the other side of the ledger, and Hudgens hasn’t said anything at all about taking the role or even expressing public interest in it.
