Comics on Comics on Attack of the Show!

G4’s Attack of the Show aired a segment tonight on Comics on Comics which was filmed during the taping of our seventeenth episode. So, we want to welcome AOTS viewers who may be visiting for the first time! Here’s a quick rundown of what CoC is about:

 

Comics on Comics is a live show/WebTV series recorded in Los Angeles, where we bring together professional comedians, media pundits, celebrities and comic book creators in a round-table discussion of the latest news in comics, film and TV. Basically, it’s Real Time for Bill Maher for the geek set. We are currently in production of our second season.

Autobots, Rollout! On Saturday, June 27, it’s Comics on Comics vs. Transformers!

 

Host Juan-Manuel Rocha welcomes mega-producer Don Murphy (Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Shoot ‘Em Up), animation and video game writer/producer Flint Dille (GI Joe, Transformers), along with comedians Tom Franck (Comics and Comics), Asterios Kokkinos (Cracked Magazine, NPR’s Marketplace) and Claude Stewart (Comics Unleashed, Last Comic Standing) as they explore the series’ cultural impact and social significance, the movie adaptations, and all things giant robot!

Brad Meltzer Interview: Book of Lies & Superman

In this special Comics on Comics creator interview, comedian Tom Franck (Comics and Comics) talks to New York Times best-selling author, Brad Meltzer (The Tenth Justice, Identity Crisis, Justice League of America) about the origins of his latest novel, The Book of Lies, including the genesis of the Cain & Abel connection, the secret history of Jerry Siegel; which led to the creation of Superman. Additionally, Meltzer speaks out about his quest to save the Siegel house and how he got his first break in comics with DC Comics’ Green Arrow.

Tomorrow night (Saturday, May 16), Comics and Comics returns to Meltdown Comics in Hollywood!

 

Comics and Comics is hosted and run by our good friend Tom Franck and features the best fanboy stand-up comedians in Los Angeles. And while Comics and Comics and Comics on Comics aren’t directly connected, there’s been a lot of crossover between our shows, including two appearances by Tom on Comics on Comics.

 

So join the crew of CoC and get ready to Grock your Spock with the some of funniest and geekiest stand-up comedians in Los Angeles; including three of our CoC alumni, Jackie Kashian (The Dork Forest), Asterios Kokkinos (Cracked Magazine, NPR’s Marketplace, Comics on Comics Radio) and the host of Comics on Comics Radio, Sax Carr! Rounding out the show are comedians Jacob Sirof and Paul Jay.
